160 Application were done to EPDK for wind power-plant.

The intrest to wind power-plant projects is increasing day by day to meet the demand of Turkey's electric energy from alternative energy sources that increases over %8 every year.

In the field of alternative energy production sources, the intrests turn and increase to wind energy. The applications reached 160 to EPDK with this aim. 17 pieces wind power-plant project in power of 200 Mw totally is going to start to produce energy step by step next year. Also it is planning to obtain 2 billion kilowatt energy from the power-plants that is thought to establish densely wind areas.

It is planned to establish the power-plants in different powers and capacities with the aim of producing energy in İstanbul, Tekirdağ, İzmir, Edirne, Manisa, Hatay, Çanakkale, Aydın, Mersin. The other power-plants projects that are in commission step is going to start production with taking the investment certificate after an approval.
